Public Relations, Media, and Community Responsibility Unit
This unit organizes communications between the college and the external and internal community, organizes meetings, events, and internal and external visits. It also documents the relationship between the college and the community by organizing activities, training, providing consultations, and preparing plans and studies that serve the community, as well as consultations for college staff and external organizations in the field of the college’s specialization to ensure continuous development of professional competencies in applied medical sciences.

General Objective:
Plan and implement public relations activities and manage community responsibility programs at the college.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operational plan and proposed annual budget for implementing projects and programs related to the unit.
- Take the lead in events, meetings, and major presentations for the college, preparing required presentations and materials.
- Develop and implement suitable mechanisms for building public relations with various entities.
- Receive guests of the college and accompany them, ensuring their needs are met.
- Implement and participate in various activities that serve the college’s activities.
- Help organize regular meetings for employees to strengthen bonds among them and enhance college affiliation, in coordination with the internal communication committee and improving the work environment.
- Prepare and update the phone and email directory for college employees.
- Provide all promotional materials and souvenirs for college guests and the public at various events.
- Participate in organizing graduation ceremonies in collaboration with related organizational units.
- Assist in preparing and organizing seminars and lectures held by the college.
- Arrange social visits for employees on various occasions and establish sports leagues for them.
- Prepare and follow up on printing greeting cards for college staff on various occasions.
- Highlight the college’s activities and its role and efforts in serving and developing the community.
- Fully responsible for addressing challenges faced by the college in its external communications with the community, newspapers, radio, national bodies, institutions, and others.
- Develop plans to build a public relations program that covers the college’s needs while working to unify media methodology.
- Prepare periodic reports and necessary presentations for the college council about public relations and community responsibility activities.
- Conduct annual evaluations of unit employees and monitor their performance.
- Identify training needs for unit employees.
- Determine the unit’s needs for human resources, equipment, and materials, and follow up on their provision.
- Suggest unit activities that can be converted to electronic formats.
- Contribute to preparing quarterly and periodic performance reports for the unit in coordination with the Quality and Academic Accreditation Unit.
- Carry out any other tasks assigned to the unit in its field of competence.
- Develop a comprehensive plan to strengthen the college’s relationship with the community.
- Organize and document the college’s programs from conferences, seminars, and training events.
- Organize visits by community organization delegations to the college.
- Document the college’s activities towards the community.
- Follow up on implementing plans for community service.
- Take necessary measures to assess community needs.
- Oversee financial affairs related to community services according to regulations and systems.
- Work on developing the community services unit and enhancing its capabilities.
Authorities:
- Issue internal decisions necessary for the smooth operation of the college’s relationship with the community, in accordance with regulations.
- Expend from the community service unit budget as per organized regulations.
- Carry out any other tasks assigned to the unit in its field of competence.
