Laboratories of the Medical Imaging Technology Department
1- (General Digital X-ray lab)
One of the laboratories of the Radiology Department used to train students on radiological examination skills using X-rays to check body health. The laboratory is equipped with modern equipment and medical supplies necessary for radiological examination, in addition to models and mocks up that simulate the natural body.
2- Radio-fluoroscopy and angiography unit(Digital Fluoroscopy X-Ray Unit +Angiography)
It is used for training on the basic skills of special examinations that require a contrast medium. The laboratory contributes to providing students with the necessary skills to meet and solve the problems and needs of patients who need this type of examination.
3- Ultrasound Unit
This laboratory provides students with the necessary skills for ultrasound examinations of patients while following scientific steps in carrying out the necessary tasks needed by these patients in addition to providing students with competencies related to dealing with diseases and diagnosing them through ultrasound waves.
4- (Mammography X-Ray Lab)
This laboratory provides students with the necessary skills for breast examinations, while following scientific steps in carrying out the necessary tasks the patients need in addition to providing students with competencies related to dealing with diseases and diagnosing them through x-rays and dolls simulating the organs of the human body.
5- Community service and research lab
This lab is concerned with the practical aspect of radiation scanning. It contains portable devices that help in taking research samples to provide community services.
6- Radiological Equipment Unit
This laboratory focuses on the practical aspect of the courses related to the equipment to apply the necessary skills for how they work and also identify the basic components and their importance by providing the necessary equipment which simulates and resembles the hospital environment.
7- (Image Evaluation Room):
This room contains an appropriate number of seats for explanation, an interactive screen, and an appropriate number of computers with Daikon program. It is well equipped.
