The unit follows up on the implementation of the field and clinical expertise system, seeks to develop field expertise models, communicates with the relevant authorities, and benefits from the results of the analysis to raise the efficiency of the college’s clinical training and internship supervisors, faculty members, and students.

Creating a training environment that enhances the clinical training skills of college students to provide health personnel capable of competing in various fields of work.

General goal

Implementing clinical training procedures to enhance students’ acquisition of the necessary technical skills in accordance with learning outcomes standards

Tasks

  • Preparing an operational plan and the proposed annual budget for implementing projects and programs related to the unit.
  • Implementing field training systems and procedures manual, and submitting the necessary proposals for its development.
  • Coordinating with Academic Affairs to conclude agreements with hospitals after they are approved by the scientific departments, and submitting them to the Dean of the College for approval and signature.
  • Submitting financial claims related to student training.
  • Following up training in accordance with the mechanisms and models regulating clinical and field training.
  • Preparing follow-up reports to evaluate the outcomes of semester and clinical training.
  • Establishing training timetables.
  • Providing the head of the academic department with a list of hospitals and training centers that conduct clinical training and meet the requirements and conditions of the Ministry of Education.
  • Holding workshops for students to introduce them to the risks to which students may be exposed and the ethics of field training.
  • Submitting field visit reports related to the quality of training places to relevant authorities.
  • Submitting workshop reports made for internship students.
  • Polling students’ opinions for their evaluation of the training places.
  • Participation in clinical training committees.
