Preparing qualified and distinguished cadres in Radiology specialty, through developed educational program, in an attractive academic environment that supports community, academic partnerships and scientific research, to achieve sustainable development, in accordance with Vision 2030.

Program description


The radiology program was designed in accordance with quality standards and academic accreditation for preparing leading health cadres distinguished by high intellectual, professional and research skills and providing an academic and administrative environment that motivate learning, production and creativity.

The program focuses on the practical application of theoretical concepts through integrated laboratories equipped with the latest equipment, tools and dolls necessary to train students in the basic and advanced skills of the program.

The program provides students with comprehensive knowledge and professional skills necessary in all radiology courses, which include ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, nuclear medicine, interventional radiology and angiography, mammography, and radiotherapy.

Duration of study


The study period in the radiology program lasts for five years for high school students. In the first preparatory year, students study English and basic science courses, then, they start studying the specialization from the beginning of the second year until the end of the fourth year, followed by the fifth year; the internship stage.

As for the master students, the diploma certificate is equated, and the student studies at the college for four to five semesters, followed by the honors stage, which lasts for 8 months.

Clinical training


 

 

Training students represents a fundamental pillar in the standards of Al-Ghad College of Applied Medical Sciences in Riyadh to achieve and complete the educational, training and academic process to qualify students to obtain the appropriate job position and link them through training courses to the labor market under the supervision of specialists in this field in addition to signing partnership agreements with distinguished hospitals and health centers.

 

The training unit is responsible for supervising the training of students and seeking to provide appropriate training places consistent with the academic and clinical standards during the study and internship phase. Contracts have been concluded with a number of distinguished governmental and private hospitals and medical centers.
