Strategic Planning Unit

The Strategic Planning Unit is responsible for enhancing the strategic planning skills of the college staff. It also develops the college’s strategic and operational plans and performance indicators. The unit reviews the operational plans of departments, units, centers, and committees, and monitors the achievement rates of all plans in the college to realize the vision and mission of the college.

Objectives:

  • Develop the college’s strategic plans for both the short and long term in line with its vision, mission, and strategic goals.
  • Analyze the internal and external environment of the college to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Develop operational plans to achieve the strategic goals and ensure their efficient and effective implementation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the college’s strategic performance and make necessary adjustments based on the results of follow-up and evaluation.
  • Promote and disseminate a culture of strategic planning across all departments and administrative units of the college.
  • Coordinate with various internal and external entities to ensure the achievement of strategic goals.
  • Develop information systems and databases necessary to support the strategic planning process.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in preparing the college’s strategic plan and contribute to its implementation and performance measurement.
  2. Spread the culture of strategic planning among college staff.
  3. Continuously review, improve, and update the strategic plan.
  4. Prepare the operational and executive plans for the college and its departments, units, and committees.
  5. Monitor achievement rates according to performance indicators to achieve the strategic plan’s objectives.
  6. Follow up on the preparation and implementation of improvement and continuous development plans for all college departments and units.
  7. Any other duties assigned to the unit within its jurisdiction.

Authorities:

  1. Determine the needs for human resources and equipment and work on providing them.
  2. Participate in identifying training needs for unit staff to recommend suitable training programs.
  3. Prepare periodic reports on the unit’s activities, achievements, and suggestions for performance development.
